And so we finally reach the last part of the Helping Hand Challenge.
And here are my final two entries, the Dwarf Mercenary and the Sergeant.
“But as the Town’s Guard pursue the renegade heroes into the Forest they run into trouble”
The completed towns guard with their matching uniforms and my forest giant lurking in the distance.
Overall I’m reasonably happy with this months minis, although I think I need to invest in a lamp as seeing detail in my new living room is difficult (only have an 18w ceiling lamp). Again, the reds and the leathers have worked out well, although the dwarf possibly needs a brown wash to tone down the highlights.
And here we have my converted Hill Giant. I bought this chap many years ago as a reject from Otherworld, he has a malformed foot. Having already painted the original I wanted to convert him a little so I added a bushy beard and a bigger club.
He originally was going to have a squirrel (giant squirrel maybe) on his back too but I’ve never gotten around to finishing the sculpt.
I hope you liked this final entry and have enjoyed following along with the challenge. Don't forget to check out Finch and Antmaster’s versions over on their blogs. Let me know in the comments if you would be interested in seeing another challenge here or even joining in on one!
Keep on Painting.
The Duke
The dwarf & sergeant look great, Chris. The forest giant steals the show. Fantastic work on the beard.
ReplyDeleteExcellent work. Lovely pics of gorgeous paint jobs
ReplyDeleteAwesome work! I've frequented Finch's blog for a while and recently followed a link here. I love your work. The painting is bright and full of life. Inspirational stuff!
ReplyDeleteThese models look fantastic! I am just now discovering Otherworld and I can't wait to start painting some of these minis myself...and playing the skirmish game.
ReplyDeleteThanks Joseph. I'm hoping to get Skirmish to the table for the first time tomorrow night.
