So, in part four the days grow dark as winter settles in across the land. High up in a mountain pass the Fox Priest and his faithful sabertoothed companion Diego confront the Lord of the Flies and his Aspis Drones, while a dark creeper stalks them from the shadows.
Let’s take a closer look…
These Aspis drones turned out so well I could barely believe it. As you may have guessed I’m not a big fan of Old School metal, especially these cartoony sculpts but these worked out so well I wanted to keep one just for me.
This guy is tiny… and black.. which made him doubly hard to do something exciting with. But the pallid skin and dirty bandages actually turned out ok.
The Fox Priest’s markings were based on the video game character Fox Mc Cloud, while the colours for the robe were drawn from the idea that a Fox Priest would probably worship a nature deity.
The Lord of the Flies has almost no details to speak of. Since this picture was take the fur trim was reworked to have a browner tint. Despite being a featureless lump I’m pretty happy with how he came out…
Finally Diego is a big fan favourite… This Sabertoothed pussy cat is clearly named after that character from that movie, but that doesn’t detract from just how wonderful he looks… I wouldn’t like to be the adventuring party on the receiving end this tabby’s teeth!
Join us again next week for part 5!
